Gosnells Civic Centre Citizenship

On the 30th of April, the Carradine Choir had the distinct honor and privilege of performing at the citizenship ceremony held at the Gosnells Civic Centre. This event was not only a significant occasion for the newly naturalized citizens but also a meaningful experience for the choir members, who were excited to contribute to the celebration of diversity and inclusion. The atmosphere at the Civic Centre was filled with a sense of joy and anticipation as families gathered to witness their loved ones take this important step in their journey towards becoming citizens of Australia. The choir prepared a selection of Australian songs that resonated with themes of unity, hope, and belonging, aiming to enhance the emotional weight of the ceremony. As they sang, the voices of the choir blended harmoniously, creating a beautiful backdrop that complemented the proceedings. The event was attended by local dignitaries, community leaders, and proud family members, all of whom played a role in welcoming the new citizens into the fold of the community. The Carradine Choir’s participation in this ceremony was a testament to their commitment to fostering community spirit through music. Their performance not only entertained but also served to uplift the spirits of those in attendance, reminding everyone of the shared values that bind the community together. The choir's involvement in such a significant civic event reflects their dedication to using their musical talents to celebrate important moments in the lives of individuals and families. The experience was undoubtedly memorable for both the choir and the new citizens, marking a day filled with emotion, pride, and a renewed sense of belonging.

It was well received and the Choir had the opportunity to take a photo with the deputy Mayor.

The Choirs next event is the Amana Living on the 9th of May at Thomas Scott Hostel.
